Jeremiah Wine Company Announces Next-Generation Ownership Transition

St. Helena, CA — [December 3, 2025] — Jeremiah Wine Company, a family-run producer of premium Napa and Sonoma wines, is pleased to announce an important evolution in its ownership. Co-founder Joel Gilbertson is transitioning his ownership stake in the winery to his daughter, Lisa Gilbertson Navarro, and her husband, Mike Navarro. Together with co-founder Gene Griffin, Lisa and Mike will take over daily operations.

“This milestone means so much to us,” said Lisa, Co-Owner of Jeremiah Wine Company. “My dad’s relationships, craftsmanship, and dedication shaped the identity of Jeremiah Wine from the very beginning. Taking on his portion of the company is both an honor and a responsibility we take to heart. We are excited to partner with Gene to build on the strong foundation and wonderful customers that Jeremiah has today.”

Joel, who founded the winery with friend and business partner Gene, will continue to contribute to blending and brand direction. His continued involvement ensures that the heart and craftsmanship behind Jeremiah remain deeply rooted in its family origins.

Looking ahead, Mike and Lisa plan to expand the business thoughtfully with Gene, including building direct-to-consumer offerings, broadening West Coast distribution, and introducing new varietal releases, while also laying the groundwork for a wine club and future tasting experiences in the Pacific Northwest. They will also continue to foster and expand their dedicated North Dakota roots and customer base.

As the first step in expanding direct-to-consumer access, Jeremiah Wine Company is also excited to announce the launch of e-commerce functionality on JeremiahWine.com, allowing customers in select states to purchase wines directly online.
